Hi guys, came across a click rose today, which had been subjected to water ingress.

My question is, according to the regs what is the obligation of the electrician who comes across such a thing in an existing installation to ensure it is left in the safest condition possible.

Is it simply okay to isolate and remove water and leave to dry out before reinstating. Bare in mind the circuit was unaffected, for now, by the water. In fact if I had not disconnected the light fitting connected to the click rose I wouldn't have even discovered the water.

Is there a clause in the regs which says you are to carry out tests on the circuit if water is found or even to run new cable in place of water or mositure affected circuits?

Thanks in advance

as the water has had no effect on the circuit, i would leave the rose open to dry out, check that there isn't a leak dripping on it, then IR the circuit once it's dried out.
