I've got to quote for changing the battery in an alarm panel (no engineer's code so will have to reset the NVM manually etc), what sort of price should I be looking at? Battery will be about £15. Not London. Cheers.

What panel is it as you just can just reset the engineer code to the default on some

If not you can change a battery with the user code removing the cover will only cause a tamper alarm which can be user reset

If you are doing a maintenance visit as part of the battery change I would charge £60 - £70 + the battery

If the engineer code is not recoverable the the cost of reprogramming the panel must be included

The last one I did crashed and took about a day to fully reprogram and test felt better when the customer said it was working differently I then worked out the original alarm company a member of a very large approval body had programmed it wrong
