My parents appear to have a twin and earth cable connecting the main switch to the CCU, it has two earths both of stranded copper, but twisted together separately. I think the Lines are 10mm2.

Anyone seen this before?

Are you sure they seperate CPC's and not just a single CPC that has been untwisted into to pieces because they didn't have big enough earth sleeving????

Have seen it many times.

When I looked at it last night the separate twisting went into the sheath. looking at the other end this morning and they are not twisted where they come out of the sheath, so I guess your right :)
