earthing tv at points

am i required to provide earthing at tv points which will have a chrome face plate,an if it was to be white plastic is the metal back box supoosed to be earthed an were from

The answer is 'no' there is no requirement to earth the plates or the back boxes as they will not be defined as extraneous-conductive parts.
