Hi all
I was called to a house last week to fix a faulty boiler Upon checking it was obvious that the PCB had blown However, the boiler was connected directly to the cu via a multi switch panel No fused spur ? I quoted a repair including the installation of a spur to protect the boiler Hence lost the job Was that the right thing to do ?

Dont know what was quoted but you can guaranteed someone was willing to just exchange the pcb Costing about £120(part only) I quoted £375 to rewire the boiler incorporating a fused spur & replace pcb

Welcome to the world of people want it for free not the way it should be done I always protect it on a fused spur if they had it on a fused it prob would have saved the board
