Hi all, looking to install a jacuzzi for a friend of mine, but his fuse board doesnt have any room left, so was thinking of cutting into the main cable leading to the fuse box with a henley block, then running a 10mm cable to a 63amp rcd, question is what type of cable should i use? as terminating into the henley block will leave the cables sleeving exsposed. Any help will be great thanks

use sheathed tails as malcolm says. same size as the existing ones, but not less than 16mm.

Thanks for all the posts, so i wont be able to use 10mm cable i would have to use 16mm? also when running the cable out side is it ok to clip the cable directly to the fence? also does this need to be a certain hight.

Hold on here .... outdoor cable, new circuit etc ...... this job is notifiable and with the questions you are asking I'm suspecting you are not qualified or registered to do that. Please please please consult with a local electrician who may let you do the work yourself as an instructed person prior to him undertaking all the necessary inspections, test & connection. Don't just rely on the advice above, there's more to it than you might at first think, and you don't wan't to be frying your friend in his jacuzzi do you?

And I wouldn't advise cutting into the main cable either. Seriously though, this kind of job really is for someone who knows what they're doing, from the basic questions that are being asked here, I'd guess you're not one of em.

I do know what im doing i just dont do domestic electrics, all i have asked so far is what cable do i use when terminating into a henlry block never used one and is it ok to clip armoured cable to a fence.

i suggested 16mm min so as to match existing tails. remember that the protection for these tails is the DNO fuse. and it's perfectly OK to cleat SWA to a fence, as long as it's secure and not going to be subject to mechanical damage etc.
