call-out this morning to local newsagent... " outside lights not working. " 12 gang grid switch for lighting. 2 switches with no live feed. after stripping shelving away, found this:
not took a pic with the lid off. might spoil your elevenses

the fault was a o/c 1361, one of the 2 original OCPDs left after the butchery. new fuse fitted, lights on, cash in arse pocket.
 
didn't take one.only thought about it after i'd wriggled the cover back on. could not be arsed to take it off again as client had a shop full. would not have been amused if i'd caught the RCD test button whilst he was using till and card pay machine.
 
It has got an RCD it must be OK!!!
They solve everything?!
(except perhaps total dumbness!)

That's a shame, I was hoping we could have a little giggle about it. I don't know why but when I see a cu like that it always reminds me of those cars you see where replacement panels have been put on from scrap cars in all different colours. My mind works in mysterious ways lol
