I have a client who is a building company who would like to claim the feed in tariff to start with then transfer across the feed in tariff to the home owners when they have moved in. I contacted OFGEM asking if this was possible or not and if so how the process works. They said I should contact Energy Saving Trust or Carbon Trust which wasn't helpful as its OFGEM who manage the FIT scheme.

So it looks like I am going to use this forum to get a answer to a fairly simple question. So does anyone know how this process works with changing the owner of the FIT contract? I am assuming it doesnt effect the eligibility date?

I think I've got the answer from Good Energy. Essentially all FIT providers have a change of ownership form which can be filled in to change the ownership details. Pretty simple answer and proceedure for it, and no the eligibility date does not change.
