Anyone know anything about it?
Only thing I could find was this website APHC Competent Persons Scheme - the mark of a reputable plumber
I had been doing some bits and pieces for a builder friend of mine who had just brought a new rental property.
I got called on site had to change the central heating boiler socket and plug for a Spur (FCU) “The regs” says the Mr Gas Safe:(. I did try and reason with him but he is Gas safe registered you know!
Any way to cut a long story a bit shorter he kicked off because the builder had installed the sanitaryware his self, according to the Heating Engineer / Plumber this is now illegal and you have to be registered to a Plumbing Competent Persons Scheme.
Now we install a fair few showers and always do the plumbing work ourselves, do we now need to be on a plumbers competent scheme (and be assessed / pay the government more of our hard earned cash)?

I would love to help, but i think you may be on the wrong forum. This is an electricians forum but maybe there is someone here who might know.

Cheers

I would like to know the answer also as I plan on installing showers and doing the plumbing myself as I have a fair bit of experience in that.
