Does anyone know if such a thing exists?

It would make finding an inverter (especially for unusual setups) sooo much easier!

PVSyst has a pretty comprehensive drop down list of inverters to allow easy selection and chopping & changing when designing systems

First you have to spend a shedload of money on purchasing PVSyst. I suspect PVSol does the same? These are the two main PV system design packages.

JulianC - Thanks for the lead on PVsyst. I have manged to get access to their database, long enough to check out a couple of possibilities at least.

my head has a pretty good inverter database function installed in it, unfortunately its web interface is a bit patchy.
