I have an Fronius IG 30 plus inverter I know with this inverter panels don't have to be grounded, panels are Panasonic HIT system size 2.5kw. But as per local requirement they do. So what installer done is grounded only frames/rails the panels sitting on. Do i have to make any changes in inverter setings? Or i can leave as it is, as ungrounded system? Would that makes any differents to system performance if I leave as it is?
Is my 2.5kw system comparable with Fronius 30 IG plus inverter, is inverter not too big for th system size?

Thanx for.you help

2.5KW is on the low side for that inverter.

If you want your system to work better closer to the optimum sweet spot of this

inverter, you probably need another 500-700Wp of capacity.

Look at Fronius Solar Configurator.

Your installer could have used a far cheaper solar inverter for a 2.5KW system.

If you have the roof space why not get your installer to add a few more panels?

Valet's system has exceeded yield expectations so I certainly wouldn't say that his inverter is oversized.

Fronius Solar Configurator will tell you how many solar panels of a specific type are recommended for your inverter.
I would follow the manufacturers guidelines / recommendation for your locality.

Thanx for that.
Believe or not my system picked day max 3499w. So based on that inverter 3kw is ok. Any idea on grounding?

Panasonic HITS perform really well in bright sunny conditions, especially in Australia ;)

Which area of Australia do you live in?

Hi guys. Please help with clarification on need to earth frames panels siting on. If anything need to be done to inverter as per original post " as per local requirement they do need to be grounded. So what installer done is grounded/bonded/earthed only frames/rails the panels sitting on. Do i have to make any changes in inverter setings? Or i can leave as it is, as ungrounded system? Would that makes any differents to system performance if I leave as it is?" Thanx for your help.
