Mon, Tue, Wed working, Thursday Friday off, then on Monday i have to put on my new shirts, trousers, and TIE, get in the new car and go to work!

Anyone know how to tie a TIE? I have had to buy some cos i only had 2 and they were both black ones, now got nice stripy jobs, and i look a proper dogs dinner, the wife says i look smart, but i feel like a ****, i was never put on this earth to wear shirts and ties, but one must tow the line i suppose, and i suppose it would be polite if i had a shave or 2 from time to time, and got whats left of my hair cut as well.

Got 3 shirts, 2 ties, and couple of pairs of proper trousers from Asda and change out of £50, good job the wife took me shopping, cos i would have come home with T shirts, Jeans and some more beer.:wink5:

Cheers...........Howard

Good luck mate ............................you'll get use to it.

Suits I get out here, much cheaper but all my trousers, shirts and ties I get from Charity shops, I suppose there are advantages to having 3 daughters all in the know.

Good luck and some words of wisdom!
Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.
Can't remember who came out with this so I will just have to take the credit for it.
All the best!

Are you sure about wearing a tie?

HAven't most places adopted a more casual "dress" approach?

Good luck with the job Howard it will probably be easy compared to getting dolled up and shaved in the mornings.

Trust me, you're grow to hate wearing a tie, and 8/10 times you won't be wearing it in the office anyway. Good luck mate with the new job. Do you get a young secretary by the way?

At least you would have remembered the T shirts and Jeans Howard, I wouldn't have got past the beer before I had to make a break for it.
When I buy clothes for me they never fit, if my Wife buys them they fit like a glove - even when I'm not there. (wonder how they do that?)

Good luck, fingers crossed, be thinking about you.

I had to wear a shirt and tie at my short time at Morrisons (supervising milk lol)... I sometimes have to wear a shirt if meeting big clients but we never have to wear a tie.... Thank God!!

Good Luck Howard!
