Customer wants false ceiling in a big walkway cupboard. Existing ceiling is 4m, new false ceiling height 2.4m.
Ceiling rose at 4m ceiling height with a 1m flex to bulbs so its above new ceiling height.
What correct procedure according to 17th edition for putting a ordinary flex on new ceiling.Customer doesnt want loft hatch so cannot get access after ceiling is boarded up.
Do i put 20 amp 4 termonal jb at existing ceiling rose, then put ceiling rose on new false ceiling.
Sorry for being dim, so any help would be appreciated?

You wouldn't be "getting away" with anything by using an appropriately approved maintenance free JB, which Ashley provide - this is a perfectly acceptable way of dealing with the issue you have. Fire away and sleep easy!

Regards.

....or make all your joints above the existing ceiling if access is available.

many thanks to all sparky bods that replied, as guessed ashley j804 was out of stock at my local cef, used another ashley jb, but also persuaded customer to put a loft hatch in

The new Line MF kit will be fine. Follow the link at the side of this forum. Standard Line enclose plus MF kit.

Edit... Apologies. Just noticed that this thread was resurrected by some sales post....
