Funding for Solar PV Course

Hi there,

My first post so hello everybody!
Was speaking to a guy recently who said you could get a grant of £200 towards Solar PV training due to the fact that we live in a certain area (Southampton). Have not been able to find out any more though so wondered if anybody else had heard anything?

I am also struggling to find any training in this area so will probably do it with the NICEIC in Dunstable unless anybody can point me in a better direction. Just a pain to have to pay for accommodation on top of everything else.

Electric centre are doing them for free if you sign up to buying systems form them until you have fitted 10Kw worth!

Spoke to Electric Centre today looks ok. They do course and MCS as a package for £1150 +. For this you get the three day training course a 1 day QMSA seminar including a template to help you get started and your application and assesment fees for MCS with Corgi. Once you have done this and fitted 10Kw of their kit (Ubbink) they will refund the £1150.

Dosn't look a bad offer to me especially as I can do the training in Southampton so do not have to stay away. Anybody done it through them or done MCS through Corgi
