New 20% VAT Rate for Solar

Does anyone know when this actually comes into force.

Is it from last Thursday or when the VAT man tells us. I phoned them but to no avail.

There's been quite a discussion on the Green Lounge, it could easily be more than 6 months away. Though when you work it through: with the govt's push for commerical rooftop, and the fact that social housing could be excluded, they may consider the impact negligible. It'll take 'em at least three months to do their due diligence anyway..
