its a gravity pumped system. i have a seimens rwb2e timer and iv mixed the wires. from the fcu there are two twe wires on the load side. on the timer there is L N 1 2 3 4 SO ON CABLE ONE THE LINE WIRE GOES TO L BUT THE BLACK WIRE ON THAT CABLE DONT GO TO THE NEUTRAL IT GOES TO NUMBER 2 R 3 BECAUSE THE NEUTRAL IC CONNECTED FROM THE OTHER RETURNING CABLE. IM NOT EXPLAINING VERY WELL. OK 2 CABLES FROM THE LOAD SIDE OF TH FCU. BOTH CONNECTED TO TIMER BUT NOT SURE HOW. ARRRRRRRRHHHHH

No, not explained very well........

Your timer - L N 1 2 3 4

The T&E from the FCU will go to L and N on the timer. Nowhere else for now.

The 1 2 3 4 will be relay terminals - probably 1-2 and 3-4 - what brand time is it? Photo?

What you then want is a link probably from L to 1 - 2 then probably feeds the Switched L of either water or heating.
Then a link from L to 3 and 4 will feed the switched L of the other of water or heating.

Big BUT, though - don't take that as gospel, as I have no idea WHAT timer you have. All the neutrals should go to N, whatever, and nowhere else.

Dammitall! Just saw you DID say the timer make.

Forget all I just said.

Your wiring plate is

N L 1 2 3 4

So, all neutrals to N

L from FCU to L.

1 is HW OFF
2 is CH OFF
3 is HW ON
4 is CH ON

So, effectively, what you want (as a minimum) is

L from FCU to L on Timer
N from FCU to N on Timer
SL from HW to 3
SL from CH to 4

Any Neutrals should go to N

Ok on at the rear of the fcu there are two 2.5 twe cables. One cable goes into the wall and away and the other goes to the timer, but the red live goes to the l position but the black goes to number 3. Then another 2.5 cable comes back and its red goes to number 1 and the black goes to the neutral

By d way its a pumped gravity system so there is a cyilinder stat and room stat and pump and a 3 way valve
