Hello.
ok so stupid question time, on the PV test certs that we have to fill out it mentions protective devices I have just left this part blank.... I know what a protective device is on the AC side (RCD for example) but I am drawing a blank with the DC side.
so please tell me am I being a complete idiot and over looking something the info it wants on the cert is:
Type
Rating (A)
D.C Rating (A)
Capacity (kA)
am I meant to be putting the info of the RCD in here or is it something else (only thing I can think would fit her would be the DC isolator and I guess you could say it's there for protection but meh ?

Looking forward to any replies.

Thank you

I put N/A unless using "String fuses"

When I did my PV course the guy taking it told me that it was acceptable to actually take and record the DC isolator for that part of the form.

At the time I was a little surprised, but not doing PV , does anyone do this?

Thanks guys..... I thought to be the case but just wanted to make sure I wasnt going crazy.
