Hi, I've just wired a kitchen extension and finished the 2nd fix, I've got somebody coming to test it on Friday. I've mounted a switched fcu behind the cooker hood cowl.so I can wire the hood flex straight into it. Secondly there is 2 double sockets
Which I've mounted so the top of socket is at 450mm fffl instead of the bottom of socket.

Are these 2 issues acceptable?

Part M does not apply to "an extension of or material alteration of a dwelling".

As for the concealed FCU, I'd argue the point, especially if the client requested it to be concealed.

Who is 'coming to test'?

My tip for future to you
Install the fcu for the cooker hood over the top of an adjacent cupboard and sink a length of pipe in the wall from there to the chimney for the flex to feed through

The fcu is for the maintenance of the fan, if it is accessible with the removal of the chimney unit you have no problem.
Accesses for maintenance / testing afforded.
