All,

I'm after a sanity check on an customer job I'm looking at. The basic problem is that to get power from the ring, the the required point is near on impossible inside teh house but realitively easy if part of the run is outside, about 6 foot above the ground.

So the question is: can I use SWA cable purely for the mechanical protection and not have to connect the swa to the earth at each end?

Your thoughts please and thanks!

Bit of Hi tuff on the outside wall or black PVC conduit job done:D Do you really need that level of mechanical protection at 6ft above the ground?
