If you think thats "iffy" you should see what happens in Romania ( or did when I was there ) Just about everyone had a couple of croc clips and a pair of rubber gloves .. When it got dark out they would come and clip onto the overhead supply for the night. Just to be on the safe side the only method of cooking in a lot of homes consisted of a wire element from a night store heater zig-zagged between two fire bricks ( from same nightstore ) If you got it just the right length it would be a nice cherry red colour and boiled the pots up a treat. Of course it had NO protection fitted at all as the croc clips where just dagged onto the cables. Next morning they where all gone....

I know of a night club in Leicestershire that has not had a bill for 5 years, they have no meter, when the present owners bought the
premises the dno left the ct'S for the provider to fit together with the meters, it's never been done and I have'nt (!!!) bothered checking the metering equipment -- now that is free leccy!
