I called NICEIC to find out if I could use their warranty with my own designed forms.
Their response was, No, I have to purchase their printed forms and the warranty goes with them and not the actual contractor whose work is possibly under scrutiny. They did ask why I wasn't using their forms. 'cos I didn't have to according to the NICEIC technical helpline. Also I used an Excel spreadsheet, to assist my learning process, which makes several sanity checks highlighting unacceptable values etc. so I continued to use this as it confirms acceptability.
Can anyone allucidate? After all, I'm doing the work not the forms. Is this a scam within a scam?
Your thoughts please...
