A nice pv job from a couple of weeks ago .

Tallest roof i have ever worked on at 42 metres which made the dc run difficult .

The ac side was easy in comparison with small short runs of swa . Enjoyed installing out in the sunshine which didn't

last long as the week after it ****ed down with rain and we were in a field doing a ground mount

they are 20 kw sma without the display

I have 12off 15kw SMA to install, they have come with built in DC Isolator. I didn't think SMA did this

Its a 250 kw system with 10 x 20kw sma inverters 3 phase no display version don't have the model number to hand . can find out if you require

Looks very neat and tidy with you. Not critising atall, however personally i'm not sure about mounting trunking externally?

I'm sure there is a good reason but why install a bussbar and 3x 4way DB when 1x 12way DB would do the same job?

I guess it could be that 10 of your PV units would overload a 125A DB, but then a 250A DB or a panel board would do wouldn't it?

10 x 20kW inverters = 200kW, or around 280-290A per phase.

probably more cost effective to go the buzz bar plus 3 x 100A boards than going for 1 300A board.

In other news, I can't get my head around how that can possibly be 42m high, no chance that cherry picker would get anything close to 42m, and I can only count 5-6 storeys on any of the pictures. 42 feet high sees a bit more likely.

It looks to be around the same height we were working on last week which was 14m to the gutter, 18m to the ridge.

Its 42 metres gavin .

Have to admit I would have taken the tray vertically down into the pit but all in all not a bad litlte job.
