Hey guys,

I'm currently attempting to wire: A jokab RT6 24VDC, Vital1 24 VDC., keyence light curtain pair, eden eva gate switch, and omron limit switch Normally Closed and an e stop with manual reset.

I've got the light curtain, eden gate switch and Vital1 functioning correctly i believe but the jokab safety relay is not. I have all 5 lights solid on the jokab safety relay but only In1 and K1 function on and off as i open and close sensors and nothing will reset because the jokab requires both input contacts must be opened and re closed before the relay can be reset.

I was originally wiring all of this together using an Omron G9SA instead of the RT6 jokab safety relay and everything worked fine. Just ran into problems when switching to the jokab relay.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. And if there's any further information anyone requires please don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks!

Have you read up on the relay operating criteria, it's possible both channels are required to open simultaneously or it will assume something is wrong and will not reset.. power down and up would be required to reset it in the mean time.

I'm using option 4. Upload the image directly to the thread: The most awesome images on the Internet

And this is all the info I have on the jokab relay.

But yes, you are right about power on and off being the only way to reset. I managed to get past that and Now I have it working so that when I have the eden gate switch OPEN and triggered the light curtain so both channels turn off i can reset it. But estop and limit switch still aren't working. So my circuit is still incorrect.

If your unit is dual channel then any actuator connected like E-Stops etc will need to be 2 channel 2 and break both channel simultaneously otherwise it will go into lockout and require a power reset.
