After waiting nearly four months for my FIT contract from EDF they have surprised me !!
I gave them a reading on March 27th (by post), informed me last week I would be paid soon, TODAY ITS IN THE BANK.
Yep 33 days from reading to bank. Keep it up!
Just need the sun to come back now ! Good job we have a hose-pipe ban!

Agreed, we've only had 2 dry days since they put it in place nearly a month ago!!!

We've only had one day in the last month without some showers or rain - and it was April Fool's.
In fact, last night our regional weather forecaster mentioned that we smashed records for cold weather in February and have now smashed records for rainfall; the wettest April in this area since records began in the 1800's.

So it's no wonder that 4kWp solar installations in this area are struggling to hit 20kWh. The closer to the East coast you go, the worse the weather has been.
Multiple Sanyo-equipped, South-facing, 3.5-4kWp, unshaded systems only managing a few days close to 15kWh.

As I said on another topic; "underperforming" systems may not be as bad as people think they are, when the local micro-climate is considered; especially in once-in-a-century years like this.

Glad EDF are getting their act together for you, I am still waiting for a commercial application to be processed that was submitted in FEBRUARY! I have spoken to them on a number of occasions, they have the application and have acknowledged it in writing but was told last week that they are still working through December's applications!!

Anyone else had the same issue with their commercial applications?

Yes, install late Feb. Sent them meter reading (unprompted) on 1/4/12 as thought they would need it with FiT rate change on that date. They replied saying still processing Dec applications currently, and they can't accept my 1st April reading (even once we ARE up and running) & they will take an estimate instead, which seems ridiculous. Can they not just store the reading for now and use it as & when?!

it's not just me then :-) Would you be able to let me know if you get anything further information from them? I'll do likewise - i just want to make sure that nothing prevents this application going through.

In about 4-6mths when they get round to sending you your contract, you will also receive a form asking for a meter reading, you can enter a reading and a date then. Problem you have is by time you are asked for a reading you will be somewhere in between aug & dec's readings i would think..... it will be winter I would imagine before you see any payments

I will update when anything is received from EDF. They say they are currently dealing with Dec applications, ours was end of Feb so I guess we have a couple of months to go yet. Not hugely concerned as will be a bumper first payment when we are finally sorted (and I also have written confirmation from them that everything was safely received <3rd March).

I found it strange they still want to estimate our meter reading at the FiT rate change date (1st Apr) when I have provided them with the exact figure, but I suppose it's 50/50 that it might go in our favour rather than against us!
